About The Retreat
Our bodies and minds are a beautifully designed intricate machine that works for our continued health and wellbeing. However, due to our modern and fast paced lifestyles with a huge reliance on technology, many of us are now living restricted and sedentary lifestyles which are affecting the vitality of our health. We as humans are designed for movement! Alongside this, our emotional lives and daily stressors can also play a huge role on our health - Have you ever heard of the saying "Your issues are in your tissues."? The tissues are your fascia... an amazingly woven connective tissue that is often widely overlooked when living a pain-free life. Physical and emotional tightness are stored within the deeper tissues of your body and 'The art of unwinding' will help you feel freer and lighter afterwards. The course will blend a focus on different holistic wellbeing tools and techiques each week to support the body and mind including gentle yoga practices, Mind-Body-Stress reduction techniques, guided relaxation, self massage, aromatherapy and fostering community. Itinerary
1Day 1
1:30PM - 3:00PM
WEEK 1 ~ Massage It Out 💆🏽 To start the course off, you will be guided through a restful meditation to set your intention for the upcoming course. You will then learn about the intricate workings of the body using self massage techniques with an organic herbal oil. To finalise our first practice, you will be guided through a rejuvenating yoga flow for the fascia which will explore, tone and stretch the body.
1:30PM - 2:30PM
WEEK 2 & WEEK 3 ~ Free Your Fascia 🧘🏽 The second and third week will have a heavy focus on myofascial release techniques. You will quickly become aware of what parts of your body need attention and support. The second week will focus on the upper body and the third week will focus on the lower body.
1:30PM - 3:00PM
WEEK 4 ~ Rest Is Best 💤 During our last week together, we will be focusing on ways to regulate our nervous systems and to create serenity. We will begin the practice with a calming and restorative Yin Yoga sequence to rest deeply in to our parasympathetic nervous systems, followed by a restful Yoga Nidra practice. We will then close the course off with reflections and journalling of our past four weeks together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I join if I have never done yoga or do not have a regular movement or wellbeing practice?
Yes. This course will provide all abilities with tangible ways to reduce stress. However, this course is not a replacement for a medical condition that needs attention from a Doctor. This course will rather provide you with additional tools that you can take home and apply in to your everyday life.
Can I still register for the course if I cannot attend all of the four sessions?
To receive the full benefits of the course, it is highly recommended that you attend all four wellbeing sessions. However, if you cannot attend a certain date, you are still able to register for the course. Please note that the course cost will be the same.

Attending Olivia's Autumn Retreat was the reset I didn't know I needed. A wonderful afternoon to reconnect with mind and body ready to prepare for the change from summer into autumn with a beautiful yang/yin flow, autumnal forest walk and slowing calming yoga session to finish all in dispersed with wonderful snacks and warming teas. I could not recommend more highly a yoga retreat with Olivia Annalise Yoga, such a wonderful experience.
